A Message from the President

Dear PCA Friends and Colleagues,

It was a career highlight of mine to welcome many PCA friends and colleagues to the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus for the PCA Conference at Lehigh Valley.   Over 100 peers and students attended our 69th conference last October, with presentations and panels on a wide array of stimulating topics.    

My sincere thanks to outgoing President Melissa Cook of St. Vincent’s College for her tremendous leadership over the past year as I coordinated last year’s conference and considered the future needs of PCA.   Janie Fritz Harden continues to keep PCA organized and deeply aware of institutional history in her role as secretary.  With the new Julia T. Wood award, the organization is moving in exciting directions.  

With our new Vice President, Linda Schifino leading the charge, we are headed to Latrobe for our big 70th annual conference.  

 You will see emails and another newsletter discussing these items and the 70th anniversary conference in the coming months.  Our executive council will meet in Latrobe in early June where we will set the course for the conference and the year ahead.

My very special thanks to the interest council chairs for the work they are about to embark upon and Linda as she finalizes our next conference agenda. PCA is about everyone.   In the spirit of the late Mr. Fred Rogers, I’m looking forward to seeing many neighbors in Latrobe in October.
