VICE-PRESIDENT

Greetings PCA friends and colleagues,
I write this with much enthusiasm as we look forward to our 70th annual conference – Pennsylvania Communication Association: Seventy Years of Communicating in Neighborhoods Near and Far. We will be gathering at the beautiful state-of-the art Fred Rogers Conference Center at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, and I can’t wait for you to see it! Many thanks to Melissa Cook who worked diligently on the logistics of bringing PCA to this venue.
As you will see from the conference program (look under Convention News link), we have a stimulating slate of panels, roundtable discussions, and poster presentations. This year’s conference promises to offer an intellectual environment rich with your ideas about what it means to communicate with our neighbors. Many thanks to our Interest Council Chairs for their terrific efforts over the past months to bring this wonderful array of scholarship to PCA.

I am especially looking forward to our Awards Banquet Saturday evening where we will celebrate speakers, scholars, and educators from across the state. This commemorative portion of our conference is an exciting opportunity for PCA to acknowledge important voices in our discipline from the past, present and looking to the future.

Please join me and your PCA colleagues in October as we gather at the stunning Fred Rogers Conference Center at Saint Vincent College – visit with friends, be inspired by thought-provoking presentations, and be refreshed by the lovely Latrobe setting.

See you in October!

Best,
Linda Schifino, Carlow University
